Around a hundred films have been released this year so far. At least nine more films are slated for release this December. Despite heavy rains hampering the final stages of movie production, studios have gone ahead to complete their respective films.

Madhavan's 'Guru En Aalu' which has been under production for quite some time will finally see the light of day this December. The remake of the Hindi blockbuster 'Yes Boss', the film stars Abbas and Mamtha Mohandas along with Madhavan. A tale of a boss and his employee falling for the same girl, the film is touted to have tremendous comic instances and may prove to be a much needed hit for Maddy.

Bharathiraja's 'Bommalatam' that features the celebrated Nana Patekar along with Arjun is a film that has been plagued by delays. The release date has been tentatively fixed for December 12.

S. J. Suryah's 'Newtonin 3aam Vidhi', 'Panchamirtham' produced by Abhirami Ramanathan, 'Silambaatam' featuring Simbu, 'A AA E EE' starring Navdeep and Monica, 'Thee' with Sundar C and the Arjun starrer 'Thiruvannamalai' directed by Perarasu will be releasing in December.

Although a hundred Tamil films have been released so far only six films (Dasavatharam, Anjathe, Santhosh Subramanium, Yaradi Nee Mohini, Saroja and Subramaniapuram) have been successful.

Let's see if the films that are going to release this December can increase the success ratio.
