Raghava Lawrence is known to fight for people's causes. The amount of physical and monetary support he has provided during the Jallikattu protests are a fine example.

Having sought prior permission, the actor had announced on his social media handle yesterday that he and his team will go on a hunger strike from 9 AM to 6 PM today to show support for the Neduvasal farmers.

However, when he arrived for the protest at Valluvar Kottam, police officials halted the protest saying that his permission had been denied, owing to President Pranab Mukherjee's arrival at TN today.

Disappointed Raghava, who headed back home, had stated that his protest against the Hydrocarbon Project will happen at a later date.
