Moser Baer Entertainment has acquired the home video rights of Malayalam Blockbuster Film ‘Pazhassi Raja’ starring Mammootty, Sarath Kumar, Suman, Manoj K Jayan, Padmapriya, Kanika and others. The film produced by Gokulam Films was scripted by M T Vasudevan Nair and Directed by Hariharan with music by Illayaraja.

‘Pazhassi Raja’ is a monumental film produced at highest ever budget in the Malayalam film industry, a film that will be treasured for years to come. Director Hariharan and writer M T Vasudevan Nair had covered an important episode, which is Pazhassi Raja’s war against the British that happened more than 50 years before the first war of Independence took place in 1857.

The film is a technical master piece with Ramanath Shetty’s cinematography, Ravi Dewan’s action, Resul Pookutty’s sound and Sreekar Prasad’s editing.

Moser Baer Entertainment will be bringing out the film in all formats of Home Video and also in Blue-Ray format for the first time in Malayalam film industry in April 2010 across the World. Moser Baer has bought the rights at the highest ever price considering the importance of this title in the history of Malayalam film industry. It’s noteworthy to mention that Pazhassi Raja’s Tamil version is released and running successfully in the theaters.
