The expectations were high from Ramesh Vinayagam after his stupendous OST 'Ramanujam'. He does live up to the expectation with breezy melodies and rustic numbers. Here's our detailed review of his second album in his second innings. 1. Aasaiya Paaru Listen here Singer(s): Ramesh Vinayagam A beautiful melody to start the album with a rural backdrop. Ramesh Vinayakam vocals evoke a feeling that he is driving through lots of hairpin bends. Such is his rendition which takes a lot of turns to justify/beautify the lyrics. Both the interludes deserve a mention for the flute section. The song will seal a place in the top 20 of this year for sure. 2. Kalla Payale Listen here Singer(s): Haricharan & Shreya Ghoshal Shreya Ghoshal can change the magnitude of any tune with her ethereal vocals and she did it once again with this song too. Haricharan has shed his urbanized vocals and created a niche for himself as a singer who can take any genre with ease. A good follow up to the first song which is saved by good rendition by the lead singers to a great extent. 3. Kondamela Kondupottu Listen here Singer(s): Gunasekaran & Sangeetha After a couple of melodies, the album gives us a genuine rural track. Gunasekaran & Sangeetha complemented each other really well to induce some foot tapping moments. The limited use of instruments gives a deja-vu feel from 'Paruthi Veeran' but that's only in the last few seconds of the track. 4. Mosakutty Listen here Singer(s): Velmurugan Ramesh Vinayagam nailed this short title track and Velmurugan's spirited vocals makes you wonder how it could be possible to sing in such a high pitch! From a listener's point of view, the song could have been little more longer. 5. Vada Dai Listen here Singer(s): Ranjith & Chinmayi The album comes to an end with another melody based on cute nothings between the lead pair. Ranjith & Chinmayi made use of their prolific vocals to dish out a delightful number. Ramesh Viinayagam once again woven a slow track with limited instruments. Verdict: There's still a lot to experiment in rural subjects in terms of music and Ramesh Vinayagam has put in his best efforts to dish out a satisfying album.
