SENs have been a mixed bag as far as Tollywood is concerned. The most popular among them, Sushmita Sen, was a major let down as her film with Nagarjuna came a cropper a few years ago. After that, she was nowhere to be seen at all.

Then out of the blue came Reema Sen through Chitram. For starters, many thought she was part of the Sens from Kolkata --- Moon Moon Sens family, that is. But it was just an inspired gossip. She had no connection with Moon Moon Sen.

But Reema Sen has been very successful doing films with all and sundry. She has also successfully expanded into Tamil.

And now another Sen is looking to enter Tollywood. This time around it is Riya Sen, the reedy-thin daughter of buxom Moon Moon Sen.

Now, Riya is no stranger to south Indian films. She has done couple of movies in Tamil (Taj Mahal and Good Luck) and both have been spectacular failures. From her own point of view, Riya failed to create an impact.

She was found to be too conscious in front of the camera and her acting skills were close to zero. In terms of looks, she came across as morose and too spindly for the South Indina audiences who prefer their heroines to be plump.

In the event, Riya beat a hasty retreat to Hindi and after a few flicks there (the last well-known film of her was Jhankar Beats), the wiry actress is now eyeing an entry into Tollywood. Here in Hyderabad to promote her music album Jhumka Gira Re, Riya has said that she wanted to work in Telugu films. I like the atmosphere here. I like the professionalism here.

Surely we have heard such words before. But these are words for the ears of producers and perhaps for Nagarjuna who has a way with Sens (both Sushmita and Reema have done films with him).

Are they listening?
