As we had reported yesterday, the remake rights of critically acclaimed and commercially successful woman centric Bollywood film Queen has been purchased by actor-director-producer Thiagarajan. He will be remaking the film in all four south Indian languages.
Confirming the news Thiagarajan has told in an interview plans are on to start work and all four remakes simultaneously and to release them by 2015.
Saying that nothing has been confirmed regarding the director and cast of the film, Thiagarajan admitted that talks are on with many leading heroines to reprise Kangana Ranauts role and some of them have shown interest. The producer also confirmed that talks are on with Lisa Haydon to reprise the role she played in the original version in all the four South Indian versions. Lisa played the role of a close friend of Kangana Ranaut in the Vikram Bahl directed flick.
Thiagarajan also confirmed that the remakes will be directed by a director who has directed a few films and informed that the film will be shot predominantly in foreign locales like Paris, Amsterdam and Spain.
