Actor-Director Naveen gained critical acclaim through his film 'Moodar Koodam' released in 2013 that starred himself, Oviya and Sendarayan. Six years later his second film as hero, producer, and director 'Allaudinnin Arputha Camera' costarring is ready for release but a production company Flash Films has obtained a stay against it claiming that rupees 44.5 lakhs is due from Naveen.

Naveen in a clarification statement has revealed that Flash Films belongs to Swarna Sethuraman who is the maternal uncle of Vishagan the heir to Apex Pharma (now the younger son in law of Superstar Rajinikanth). Ragulan the paternal uncle of Vishagan had apparently approached Naveen in 2016 to make a new movie with Vishagan in the lead and though he was hesitant they had allegedly convinced him to commit the project after several attempts from their side.

A first copy agreement had been made between Flash Films and Naveen's White Shadows Productions that within eight months the script would be written and filmed. According to Naveen, he had narrated the script to Vishagan and his uncles who were floored by it and with the amount that was given to him he had paid technicians advance, scouted for locations in the USA.

Naveen alleges that after that Flash Films failed to pay him to take the project further and Ragulan had given reasons including demonitisation and a death in the family. In 2017 Swarna Sethuraman had informed Naveen that Vishagan has gone back to the US and the project will not move further. The filmmaker further alleges that Sethuraman threatened him when he tried to reason with him about the losses incurred by him and the time and effort spent on the project.

Now Naveen asserts that Vishagan and Ragulan know the real reasons for the project being shelved and the issue is in no way related to 'Alauddinin Arpudha Camera' and that Sethuraman has used his money power and clout to obtain the stay order and he will fight the case in court to prove his innocence.
