Monster: Lakshmi Manchu to make her Malayalam debut

The superhit ‘Pulimurugan’ trio of Mohanlal, director Vysakh and scriptwriter Udhayakrishna are teaming up for a new film titled ‘Monster’. Mohanlal is playing a character named Lucky Singh in the action entertainer. The first look poster of the movie was revealed recently and it created a storm online. Now, the latest is that the team has roped in Telugu star Lakshmi Manchu to play a pivotal role in the upcoming movie.
Lakshmi Manchu, who was last seen in Netflix's original anthology series Pitta Kathalu, herself announced her Malayalam debut with Mohanlal. Taking to her Instagram handle, she wrote, "The cat is finally out of the bag!! New Language, New Genre!!! Super duper excited to be shooting My first Malayalam film with the one and only!! Cannot wait to showcase what we've got in store for you. Having the best time shooting this film Mohanlal".
It is worth a mention that Lakshmi’s father, veteran actor Mohan Babu and Mohanlal are very close friends. Recently during the shoot of ‘Bro Daddy’ in Hyderabad, Mohanlal had visited Mohan Babu and family at his home for dinner. Honey Rose and Sudev Nair are also part of the cast.
Produced by Anthony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, Monster went on floors on November 10 and is progressing at a brisk pace. ‘Monster’ has Satheesh Kurup as the cinematographer and Deepak Dev as the music director.
