Priyanka Chopra has been roundly slammed for doing 'Quantico', the American TV show that has shocked many by portraying a few Indian characters as plotting to bomb Manhattan in the US with the aim of defaming Pakistan.

How can the Bollywood actress act in such a TV programme that shows her country in a poor light, her critics are asking. It's not like India harbours terrorists who bay for the US's blood. America is India's friend, not an enemy. If anything, Pakistan has enough number of Jihadi terrorists to bring shame on it.

"What the hell was this episode of #Quantico. They tried to show ‘Indian nationalists’ (their term) trying to blow up Manhattan to frame Pakistan. I don’t even know what sort of ridiculous narrative was this episode trying to set.. nonsensical stuff," said one Adit Kapadia.

"That is the extent they will travel to cover up for those who actually blew up Manhattan and may do it again. And that’s the extent many in Bollywood will travel to get a role in ‘foreign films’. A plot of a whole episode in a multimillion-dollar show is not created out of ignorance. In a unit comprising hundreds, somebody would have raised a red flag. It’s done out of design," noted journalist Abhijit Majumder.
