After years of wait and anticipation, superstar Aamir Khan's passion project 'Laal Singh Chaddha' was finally released this Thursday. However, the film faced a lot of backlash and boycott demands by some people who share ideological differences with Aamir. These people believe that Aamir hates our country and tries to hurt religious sentiments with his movies.

Recently, actress Mona Singh who plays a significant role in 'Laal Singh Chaddha', came out in support of Aamir and stated that he doesn't deserve all that unwarranted hate. Mona told India Today, "I was very sad. I mean, what has Aamir Khan done to deserve this? He is a guy who has always entertained us for the last 30 years. But I was very confident that the boycotters would come around once they started seeing that the film is resonating with every Indian."

Mona also shared that her family had a good time while watching 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. She said, "My family is so proud of me. I took my parents and my husband to the screening and they couldn't stop crying, laughing, and cheering. That's what this movie does. The minute you're about to cry, it just makes you laugh. And it rarely happens while watching a movie. I think the last time I felt that emotion was during 3 Idiots."
