Since the arrest of actor Shine Tom Chacko and four others from showbiz for cocaine possession, Mollywood has come under the scanner of the police. They are now looking at possible drug mafia connections that the film industry has. Shine is being questioned in this connection.

It has come to light that Shine's case is just the tip of the iceberg and that lot many serious violations and addictions are happening in the numerous night parties and smoker's party around the state which is attended by many a cine stars. It is reported that a prominent young actor as well as a producer is under scrutiny now.

Paradoxically, Shine was part of the 'Addicted to Life' campaign kick started by the government for preventing drug abuse and addiction, and promoted by actor Mammootty, which found huge support among cine stars. Now, Shine himself is behind the bar for the same offense. More cine stars are expected to be caught.
