Mollywood celebs mourn the demise of Bappi Lahiri

Celebrities and fans all around the world have taken to their social media handles to pay rich tributes to music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri, who passed away today passed away at Mumbai's CritiCare Hospital today. Celebrities from all walks of life paid tribute to Lahiri. Several M-Town celebs also took to their respective Instagram handles to pay tribute to the legend.
Taking to her Instagram story, Manju Warrier condoled the demise of the disco king. Meanwhile, actor Manoj K Jayan took to his official Instagram handle, and shared a picture of Bappi Lahiri. Sharing the picture, the actor penned a heartfelt tribute note starting with the line ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’. Playback singer Vidhu Prathap, G. Venugopal and Siddharth Menon too took to their official Instagram handles and paid tribute to Bappi Lahiri by sharing the late musician's picture on Instagram story feed.
Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi condoled his death, “Shri Bappi Lahiri Ji’s music was all encompassing, beautifully expressing diverse emotions. People across generations could relate to his works. His lively nature will be missed by everyone. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”
Bappi Lahiri, who popularized disco music in India in the 80s and 90s, had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But his health deteriorated on Tuesday, and his family called for a doctor to visit their home. On Wednesday morning he faced multiple health issues and died due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea). He was 69. Some of his popular songs include 'Chalte Chalte', 'Disco Dancer', and 'Sharaabi'. His last Bollywood song titled Bhankas was for the 2020 film 'Baaghi 3'.
