Well, what exactly is Mohavalayam` all about? What honey trap` does the title refer to? The film, it`s reported, is the first Indian film to be shot entirely in Bahrain and is all about the life and aspirations of Malayalees who arrive at Bahrain crossing the King Fahd Causeway from Saudi Arabia. It`s the honey trap comprising of promises of a better life and prosperity that perhaps lure many to this land of dreams. Do all who land up here eventually succeed in making their dreams come true? Well, this is what T V Chandran, the maker of acclaimed films like Ponthan Mada`, Mangamma`, Susanna`, Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam` etc, seeks to zoom in on in his Mohavalayam`....

Produced by Aanchal Sreenadh and Biju Pachiyil for Causeway Productions, Mohavalayam` has an impressive array of artists in the cast. Joy Mathew, Mythili, Siddique, Renji Panicker, Shine Tom Chacko, Sudheesh, Indrans, Santhosh Kezhattoor, Srinda, Sajitha Madathil etc play key roles. The film features cinematography by M J Radhakrishnan, lyrics by Rafeeq Ahamed and music by M Jayachandran.
