Actor Mohanlal who recently returned to Kerala from Dubai started shooting for his much-anticipated project ‘'Neyyattinkara Gopante Aaraattu’ helmed by filmmaker B Unnikrishnan. The first schedule of the movie was launched in Palakkad with a customary pooja.

Mohanlal, who is essaying the title character in the comedy-action entertainer, has shared a glimpse from the pooja ceremony.

Reportedly, the movie revolves around Gopan's character that travels from Neyyattinkara to Palakkad on an interesting mission. Scripted by Udayakrishna of 'Pulimurugan' fame, the movie will have Vikram Vedha actress Shraddha Srinath in the female lead. The actress has been signed in to play an IAS officer and is expected to join the sets in the last week of November.

The film also has Nedumudi Venu, Saikumar, Siddique, Neha Saxena, Ashwin Kkumar, Rachana Narayanankutty, Johnny Antony, Vijayaraghavan, Nandu and Swasika as part of the cast. 'Neyyattinkara Gopante Aaraattu', which is set for an Onam 2021 release, will also be released in other languages.
