Superstar Mohanlal’s maiden directorial venture ‘Barroz’ went on floors in Fort Kochi on March 31. The big news was announced by Mohanlal himself on his official social media handle. The actor also shared a few pictures from the sets of the movie. “And the Camera starts Rolling! First day of the shoot. Action! #Barroz,” he captioned the pictures.
The pictures have him discussing his vision with cinematographer Santosh Sivan and veteran technician and filmmaker Jijo Punnoose. The working stills have already set social media on fire!
The launch of 'Barroz' was a star-studded affair. From Mammootty to Prithviraj and Priyadarshan to Sibi Malayil several celebs attended the gala event along with their families.
Barroz: The Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure started with a puja on Wednesday in Kochi. The big-budget 3D film is set against the backdrop of the maritime history of Portugal, India, and Africa. Penned by Jijo Punnoose, who made the first 3D film in India, My Dear Kuttichathan (1984), the movie is produced by Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas is producing the film.
Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad is in charge of the edits. Child prodigy Lydian Nadhaswaram is composing the music for the film.
