According to the latest reports, Mohanlal's blockbuster hit Drishyam is getting a remake in Hollywood. It is the movie's director Jeethu Joseph who revealed the same in an interview to a radio channel. In the radio interaction, Jeethu said that someone from the Hollywood industry got in touch with him to discuss the remake. Unlike its original, the makers of the Hollywood version are planning for a woman-centric film.
Jeethu further added that the person who spoke to him was planning to cast Oscar- winner Hillary Swank to play Mohanlal's character in the remake. "It was an Indian who works in Hollywood who approached me for the remake. The story is that the girl's mother is committing the crime. The English script and film of Drishyam were sent as per their request. It was sent a month and a half back. I don't know if there is any progress", said Jeethu Joseph.
The director's revelation came ahead of the release of 'Drishyam 2', the sequel to the superhit thriller.
