The much-awaited sequel of Mohanlal's 2013 superhit thriller 'Drishyam 2' started rolling in Kochi with a customary pooja on the set. Mohanlal took to his social media to share a few pictures from the pooja. Take a look at the pictures.

Prior to the shoot, the entire team has taken up COVID-19 tests. The makers of the film have even arranged separate living spaces for the team to stay during the shoot time.

‘Drishyam 2’ is a sequel to the 2013 superhit 'Drishyam' directed by Jeethu Joseph. The sequel will also feature Mohanlal and Meena playing the couple Georgekutty and Rani George. The movie's story is set seven years after the original film story ends and also has Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil returning. The sequel is said to have no crime elements and will focus only on family-drama.

Reportedly, Mohanlal will start shooting by September 26 and only indoor shooting will happen for 10 days in Kochi. The second schedule is expected to go on floors in Thodupuzha.

Meanwhile, Jeethu and Mohanlal are also collaborating on their another project titled Ram. The shoot of the movie is almost complete with a few portions left to be canned abroad. The shoot of Ram is expected to resume after the coronavirus pandemic comes under control abroad.
