Mohanlal-Priyadarshan's much-awaited ambitious film Arabikadalinte Simham which was slated to release in March 2020 got postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Amid lockdown, there was a buzz that the makers were planning for an OTT release. However, Priyadarshan clarified that the movie will be released only in theatres after the virus comes in control. Now, after many delays, the makers seem to have now confirmed the new theatrical release date, a day after the Kerala government decided to reopen theaters from Tuesday.

The makers have decided to release Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham on March 26, 2021, exactly a year after it was postponed. The new release date along with a brand new poster of the magnum opus has been released through the movie's official social media pages.

Touted to be the costliest movie ever made in Malayalam cinema, Arabikadalinte Simham is expected to give a never-seen-before visual experience for the Malayali audiences. The movie will have a massive release worldwide in various languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Chinese. Apart from Mohanlal, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham features an extensive star cast, including Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja, Prabhudeva, Manju Warrier, Suhasini Maniratnam, Pranav Mohanlal, Keerthy Suresh, and Kalyani Priyadarshan in pivotal roles.
