The shooting of 'Villain' the upcoming Malayalam film starring Mohanlal in the lead role has been wrapped up on June 19th. The news was announced by B.Unnikrishnan, the director of the film, through his Facebook live video with actor Vishal, who plays a major role in the movie. 'Villain' which is currently in the post-production stage is likely to hit the big screens on July 21st.

In the upcoming investigative thriller, Mohanlal essays the role of Mathew Manjooran, an ex-cop, while Manju Warrier appears as his wife. Produced by Rockline Entertainments, the stylish crime thriller boasts a star-studded cast with the likes of Kollywood stars Vishal and Hansika apart from Telugu actors Srikanth, and Raashi Khanna in pivotal roles.
