Mohanlal's 'Villain' completes censor formalities

Mohanlal-B.Unnikrishnan's much-anticipated movie 'Villain', which is all set to hit the big screens this October, has successfully completed the censor board formalities. Director B Unnikrishnan who revealed the news through his official social media page also revealed the release date of the movie. The stylish thriller has bagged a clean U certificate from the censor board and will hit the theatres on October 27.
In the upcoming investigative thriller, Mohanlal essays the role of Mathew Manjooran, an ex-cop, while Manju Warrier appears as his wife. Besides Mohanlal and Manju, Villain has non-Keralites actors such as Vishal, Hansika Motwani, Raashi Khanna and Srikanth who play pivotal roles in the film.
Renowned cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, famous for his works in Kollywood movies such as Nanban and Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya, is Villain's DOP. Produced by Rockline Entertainments, Villain is the first Indian movie to be shot completely in 8K resolution. The movie will also have much significance to special effects, handled by an international company from Poland.
