Mohanlal to play Major Mahadevan's father

Mohanlal will play the role of Major Mahadevan's father's role in Major Ravi's next. It was earlier reported that Mohanlal will reprise the role of Major Mahadevan. However, though the reports are true, the onus will be on the father's side of the story. It will be through the father that the story movies forward.
Mohanlal will have three get ups in the movie. While he will play Major Mahadevan's father in the 1970s and the present day era, he will also play Major Mahadevan. The father and son will not have any combination sequences. The Indo-pak war is the background. This movie will be a prequel of sorts to Major Ravi's war movies featuring Mahadevan. He is on the lookout for an actor to play the Pakistan soldier.
