Recently Mohanlal, one of the great names of Molly wood has become a hot cake in industry. He is in news for his upcoming prestigious roles in upcoming movies like Odiyan and Kayamkulam Kochunni in which he is playing the role of Ithikkara Pakki.

Latest update is that the megastar is in talks with legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam for a Tamil movie. Though nothing has been confirmed yet, movie lovers are thrilled are about it.

Earlier Maniratnam and Mohanlal have collaborated in the 1997 film Iruvar. The film which is loosely based on the relationship between cinema and politics in Tamil Nadu features Mohanlal in lead role along with Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Rai, Revathi, Gouthami, Tabu, and Nassar .The film was a critical success and won the Best Film award at the Belgrade International Film Festival and two National Film Awards.

Currently Mani Ratnam's is busy with his multi-starrer project which has been titled Chekka Chivantha Vaanam in Tamil and Nawab in Telugu.
