On Tuesday, actor Mohanlal took the first shot dosage of the COVID-19 vaccine from Amrita hospital, Kochi. The update was revealed by the management of Amrita Hospital, through their official Twitter handle. "Superstar #Mohanlal received his first dose of #COVID #Vaccine today at #AmritaHospital, Kochi. He urged everyone to follow the government's advice and get vaccinated. He said the drive will surely help individuals, families, and the society at large in the fight against COVID," reads the statement issued by the hospital. They also shared a few pictures of the actor getting vaccinated.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal too took to his social media handle to announce the same. "Took the First Shot of Covid Vaccine from Amrita Hospital. I take this opportunity to thank the Government of India , the companies which are producing the vaccine & the medical fraternity, including all hospitals, for their relentless assistance and cooperation shown towards the COVID Vaccination Drive, " wrote Mohanlal. The pictures have already gone viral on social media.
On the work front, Mohanlal, who is basking the success of his latest release Drishyam 2, is also awaiting the release of Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham. The Priyadarshan directorial is set for a worldwide theatrical release on May 13, 2021, Thursday. The actor recently wrapped up the shooting of Aaraattu. Meanwhile, Mohanlal will soon kickstart the shooting of his highly anticipated directorial debut Barroz.
