After Mohanlal confirmed about his prestigious movie Randamoozham, an onscreen adaptation of M T Vasudevan Nair's acclaimed novel in the same name, audiences have been waiting with bated breath for more updates on the movie. Now, the latest piece of news is that a UAE-based Indian businessman, Bavaguthu Raghuram Shetty, is pumping in Rs. 1,000 crore to produce this India's biggest ever motion picture.

Also, the movie's title has been changed to 'The Mahabarata', as it will be a pan India movie. Directed by ad filmmaker VA Shrikumar Menon, who has been researching for the magnum opus for the past few years promises the audiences that the movie will attain the next level of production quality and visual magic. The project which will engage both Indian and international artistes, including Academy winners, will be shot in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu and dubbed in major Indian and foreign languages.

Shrikumar has officially confirmed that Big B has been finalised for a very powerful role in Randamoozham. Reportedly, Big B will be doing the role of Bhishma in Randamoozham, while Mohanlal will essaying the role of Bhima. To be released in two parts, the shoot will begin in September 2018 and the film is expected to release in early 2020. The second part of the movie would be released within 90 days of the first part.
