'Odiyan', the yet-to-be-released Malayalam fantasy thriller starring Mohanlal, will have a Telugu (dubbed) release. The movie's theatrical rights are with Daggubati Creations' Daggubati Abhiram and Sampath Kumar. The producers are happy to have acquired the rights by paying a fancy price in the face of severe competition for the rights from other producers.

The plan now is to release 'Odiyan' simultaneously in Malayalam and Telugu. Directed by VA Shrikumar Menon, this film sees the 'Complete Actor' in a youthful role. "The superstar had to do rigorous body exercises and regular Yoga to seem like a 35-year-old for the movie. There is so much of buzz around this VFX-rich movie," the makers say.

The producers of the Telugu version add, "Mohanlal garu's craze needs no introduction. Peter Hein's action sequences and the amazing graphics in the movie will stun the audience. We thank Mohanlal garu for giving us the opportunity to release the Telugu version."

The fantasy thriller, also starring Prakash Raj and Manju Warrier, will hit the screens on December 14.
