Mohanlal is Thala

Chotta Mumbai, an out and out entertainer by director Anwar Rasheed will hit the screens on 7 April.

The film is about a group of youngsters who live around Fort Kochi, spending their earnings on idiotic things, without any definite aim in life. Their leader is called Vasco Da Gama, (Mohanlal) whose nickname Thala.

Indrajith, Siddique, Manikkuttan and Bijukkuttan are his chums. Bhavana, the heroine, drives an auto rickshaw for a living.

Chotta Mumbai is produced by Maniyanpillai Raju, Ajayachandran Nair and Reghuchandran Nair under the banner of Sreebhadra films. Lyrics by Vayalar Sarat Chandra Varma and Santhosh Varma have been set to music by debutant Rahul Raj.
