On new year's eve, Mollywood superstar Mohanlal dropped the first look poster of his much-awaited directorial debut ‘Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure’. The poster has the actor in a never seen before majestic avatar. The poster has him seated on a throne and striking a pose in a tonsured head and a long beard stunning avatar. “Here's a toast to another year that rises before us. It was recently, the first promo teaser of Mollywood superstar Mohanlal's directorial debut ‘Barroz: Guardian of Da Gama's Treasure’ was released online. The teaser gave a glimpse of a fantasy world, that offers a never seen before experience to the Mollywood audience. Mohanlal appears as a genie named Barroz, who is said to have taken care of Vasco da Gama’s valuable treasures and guarded it for 300 years.
Apart from Mohanlal, Guru Somasundaram, who became popular through the movie ‘Minnal Murali’ directed by Basil Joseph, also will be appearing in the movie. Also, several nationally and internationally acclaimed actors are part of the movie. Written by Jijo Punnoose, ‘Barroz: Guardian of Da Gama's Treasure’ is based on a novel of the same name. The cinematography is by Santosh Sivan and Santosh Raman is the production designer. Bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, the production of the movie commenced earlier this year with a star-studded launch event in Kochi, which was attended by many prominent personalities in Malayalam cinema including actors Prithviraj, Mammootty, Sibi Malayil, and Priyadarshan, among others. Being the directorial debut of the legendary actor Mohanlal, the hopes are really high for ‘Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure’.
