Mohanlal in a recent interview to media spoke about his son Pranav Mohanlal who is going to mark his debut as a hero through a film directed by Jeethu Joseph.

He said that Pranav is different from his way of thinking and beliefs.

“In the circumstances which I grew up, for the women of the house, waking up early in the morning, taking bath and going to the temple was considered as part of belief or being religious. Seeing this I also tried to go to temple, though often it was not possible. I believed that spirituality was there around me through this,” said Mohanlal.

“But now Pranav has not seen me going to temples early in the morning. He has studied in a Christian Residential Schoool which has students coming from around 23 countries. So his thoughts and beliefs would be based on that exposure. So I never asked his to wake up early in the morning and go to temple,” added Mohanlal.

The actor also said Pranav reads lots of books and had studied philosophy. His belief and spirituality is based on what he had developed from it. When asked about praying to God Pranav had replied that what is the use in just praying once a day.
