Director K Raghavendra Rao directed Mohanbabu long ago for films like Alludugaru, Allari Mogudu and Major Chandrakant and most of them are big hits. Of late, Raghavendra Rao is concentrating on mythological films and films like 'Annamayya', 'Sriramadasu', 'Sri Manjunatha' and 'Pandurangadu' directed by him were welcomed by the audiences.

Presently he is working on another mythological film 'Shirdi Sai' with Nagarjuna once again. After this film, he is most likely to direct Mohanbabu for a mythological film 'Ravana'.

It is learnt that several artistes across the country would be roped in for the film and it would be brought out as a multi-lingual.

Mohanbabu, who stopped playing hero and is doing supporting characters wanted to resurrect his lost image as hero.
