It was on this day in 1997 that ‘Hitler’, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead, hit the screens. Directed by Muthyala Subbaiah, the drama was the remake of a Malayalam film by the same name. Presented by Editor Mohan, it had the future filmmaker Mohan Raja working as a co-producer and an assistant director.
Mohan Raja, who is going to wield the megaphone for Chiranjeevi’s 153rd movie, has fondly got nostalgic today. “Dad’s memorable production and my proud memories as his co-producer,” the ‘Hanuman Junction’ and ‘Thani Oruvan’ director wrote on Twitter. The launch event of ‘Hitler’ was attended by late Sridevi and Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, among others. Dasari Narayana Rao was also present.
The director also promised that updates on his upcoming movie with the ‘Sye Raa’ actor will be divulged soon. This is going to be a remake of ‘Lucifer’, which is also incidentally a Malayalam movie. To be produced by NV Prasad, the remake will have ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ and ‘Bluff Master’ actor Satyadev Kancharana in a key role.
