Mohan Raja who has churned out one hit after another over the years had memorable outings with his last two films 'Thani Oruvan' starring Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara and 'Velaikkaran' starring Sivakarthikeyan and Fahadh Faasil gaining critical acclaim as well.

Mohan Raja has shared "With the blessings of my parents and well-wishers, life has always gifted me better and bigger things. And this time I’m more elated n honored to direct a mega project with the Megastar Chiranjeevi sir himself Need all your wishes n prayers".

The film with the working title 'Chiru 153' is the Telugu remake of the Malayalam blockbuster hit 'Lucifer' starring Mohan Lal.  The film will go on floors in the second week of January 2021.

'Chiru 153' is the second Telugu film for Mohan Raja after his debut movie 'Hanuman Junction' starring Arjun and Jagapathy Babu released in the year 2001.  Raja's father Editor Mohan has also produced 'Hitler' starring Chiranjeevi which released in 1997.
