Manchu Vishnu today took oath as the President of MAA. Speaking on the occasion, Mohan Babu exhorted the opposing camps (led by Prakash Raj and his son) to be friendly towards each other.
"Hatred is self-destructive. I know no revenge-seeking. Those who haven't voted for my son are as dear to me as those who have. I hope my son makes MAA proud country-wide," Mohan Babu said.
The senior actor added that a courtesy visit will be paid to Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. "He is a man of words. He will definitely be there for all artists. A lot of artists have no housing facilities. I will be urging the CM to help them," Mohan Babu added. "I was a member of Rajya Sabha when Chitrapuri Colony was sought to be handed over to some vested interests. I wrote a letter to the Governor to save the colony, which is meant to serve the interests of the needy dependent on Tollywood," he said.
"Nobody can think that MAA doesn't belong to them. Vishnu needs everyone's cooperation. There is no place for partiality. God is watching us all. Vishnu made several promises before the elections. This is not a small position. Some people think that MAA President is a small position. No, it is not," Mohan Babu said, indirectly hitting out at Chiranjeevi's recent remarks that MAA President is a small position.
"It is not entertainment when artists make public attacks against other artists. Let's not do that," he said. "My son has got three movies at hand. He has also been taking care of Sri Vidyaniketan. His hands are full when he has become MAA head," the 'Son Of India' star said.
