Shami slapped with attempt to murder and domestic violence

We had earlier reported that Indian cricketer and pace bowler Mohammad Shami was accused of cheating and extra-marital affairs by his wife Hasin Jahan. She had also stated that he indulged in obscene online chats with various women in addition to alleging that she was tortured by his family members.
The cricketer even though refuted the accusations to be false, was taken off the BCCI's latest paylist. Now the Kolkata police has booked Shami with non-bailable IPC sections which includes domestic violence(498 A) and attempt to murder(307). He was also charged with criminal intimidation(506), causing hurt by means of poison(328). Shami's elder brother has been charged with rape (376).
