Modi visits Hyderabad's Biotech facility to examine vaccine development

Narendra Modi on Saturday visited the Bharat Biotech facility in Hyderabad. The Prime Minister was briefed about their indigenous COVID-19 vaccine. He was seen wearing PPE in a highly-protected environment.
Taking to Twitter after the visit, the PM congratulated the scientists for their progress in the trials so far. "Their team is closely working with ICMR to facilitate speedy progress," he added.
Earlier in the day, the PM visited the Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad to know more about the indigenous DNA based vaccine being developed by Zydus Cadila. "I compliment the team behind this effort for their work," Modi wrote on Twitter, assuring them of all the support from the government.
