Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan later today. On this special day, the PM-elect has made news by religiously visiting the National War Memorial at India Gate in New Delhi to pay homage to the martyrs of Indian Armed Forces.
"India is proud of all those brave men and women martyred in the line of duty. Paid tributes to our brave soldiers at the Rashtriya Samar Smarak. Our Government will leave no stone unturned to safeguard India’s unity and integrity. National security is our priority," the BJP leader today said.
As for the oath-taking ceremony, as many as 8,000 guests have been invited. This is going to be the biggest ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in its history. The families of 50 BJP activists who have been murdered in West Bengal over the past months have been invited, among others.
