During his national address on Tuesday morning, Narendra Modi made seven specific requests to the citizens after announcing that the lockdown will end only on May 3.

He emphasized that there has to be a special focus on senior citizens with existing illnesses. It's because diabetics, those with respiratory illnesses, etc. will suffer the most if they catch corona.

He asked everyone to use face masks without fail. Modi advised people to boost their immunity by resorting to home remedies like drinking hot water.

"No. 4, please download the Arogya Setu app. No. 5, support poor families in your locality," he said.

He also requested employers not to lay off people. Finally, he requested everyone to respect the services rendered by "corona warriors" such as doctors, policemen, safai karamcharis, etc.
