Congress leader and former President Rahul Gandhi today visited his constituency Wayanad in Kerala. Addressing the media there, he tore into the Modi regime.
"India's biggest strength was its economy which has been destroyed by Narendra Modi and the BJP. He should answer why he did so, why has he created massive joblessness in the country. That is the discussion Narendra Modi needs to have," Rahul, whose party was reduced to a mere 52 seats in the recent Lok Sabha elections, said.
Wayanad is where Rahul debuted as an MP this time. He won with a superb majority. He lost from Amethi, his party's pocket borough, to BJP's Smriti Irani.
Meanwhile, there is a criticism that Rahul is not campaigning for his party ahead of the Assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana and Jharkhand. Congress is expected to lose badly in all three States.
