Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy, who has a fan following among the country's youth, feels that Narendra Modi has worked very hard in reducing corruption at the central level. He indirectly suggests that the NDA should come back to power.
"I rarely hear a complaint of corruption at the central level," Murthy tells news channel in his latest interview, giving a thumbs-up to Modi and his council of ministers.
What about issues related to GST, which has seen problematic implementation across the board? Murthy says that the bureaucracy which should have got it right.
"The PM can't go to every village and keep it clean. There is a problem with the Indian mindset. It's apathetic and indisciplined," the Infosys co-founder opines.
The BJP is all set to welcome the views as Murthy has endorsed Modi's leadership. "A stalwart who enjoys rare reverence of us all, Sri NR Narayana Murthy's acknowledgment of the need for PM Modi to continue is a profound statement of intent for a better and brighter India of tomorrow," tweeted out Himanta Biswa Sharma, a Minister in the Assam government.
