Modi govt to give shock to IAS, IPS officers
Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
Last few weeks have seen a shaking-up of the IRS bureaucracy. The Modi government has compulsorily retired 27 IRS officers for facing corruption and other charges. Whether or not junior-level and other senior officers have got the message is difficult to be estimated. But the government has decided to go about administering the same drug to IAS and IPS officers as well.
As per the talk in the bureaucratic circles, the PMO has asked ministries to prepare a list of IAS and IPS officers who should be retired. This will be continued to be done every month. Also, a review of the officers who are "tainted" will be carried out thoroughly.
So, after IRS, IAS and IPS are going to be the next target of the Modi sarkar.
