Modi forgot to even mention Kashmiri Hindus: Critics

In his address to the nation on Thursday night, Narendra Modi made no mention of the injustice meted out to Kashmiri Hindu Pandits, critics have pointed out. Since this was the Prime Minister's first address since the scrapping of Article 370, he should have remembered them.
"It's not only bizarre but also hurtful that Modi didn't talk about the plight of the ousted Hindu minority. He took care to refer to the marginalization of Dalits, STs, etc. His speech talked about other things but not about Hindu Pandits, who are the most oppressed of all Kashmiri minorities," a social media influencer lamented.
Hindus were driven out of Kashmir by terrorists and separatists decades ago. With Kashmir becoming a Union Territory now, many of them are hoping to return to the Valley. But it's still a long haul, because the security situation needs to improve first before they can go back to settle down there.
