Modi's biopic: Model Code of Conduct breached?

It's known that Vivek Oberoi is playing the role of Narendra Modi in 'PM Narendra Modi', a biopic on the Prime Minister. The Hindi-language original is slated to hit the screens across India on April 12.
There are voices that are opposing the film's release at a time when the Model Code of Conduct is in operation. The film is said to be a propaganda political drama promoting Modi and the BJP.
Says historian Ramachandra Guha, That such a film will be shown and promoted during the elections demonstrates the joke and farce that the “model code of conduct” is; how can the Election Commission allow it?
Meanwhile, the makers of the movie are making all arrangements to release it in 23 languages across India. The question is, will people even like to watch a movie in which Oberoi is playing Modi?
