'Uthama Villain' Movie Stills

Parvathy Nair, who was Ms Karnataka is to play a pivotal role in Kamal Haasan's 'Uttama Villain'. Sources say she will be playing the love of Kamal Haasan's son in the film. When asked how she came to be a part of the film, Parvathy recounted a unique tale.

“My pictures were sent to the 'Uttama Villain' team by someone whom I didn`t know. I was shooting for an ad in the place where 'Uttama Villain' was also being filmed. Somebody phoned and called me for an audition. I was told by the ADs that many actresses had tried for my role. I was pleased to learn that I was chosen after Kamal Haasan saw many other artistes. To me, being selected for the role in itself is a great achievement. And I have heard that Kamal Haasan is choosy about his cast.” She met Gauthami thereafter to choose her outfits and, "That`s when I got to know that I made it. Everything still looks surreal,” added Parvathy Nair.

“While shooting, Kamal Haasan always explained the idea behind every scene. I had the liberty to perform in my own way and I could also improvise when I delivered dialogues. That space to explore mattered a lot to me,” she said, when asked about her experience on set.
