Mobile App Taxi hike, clearance not come yet

The Mobile App company based Taxis have finalized on the minimum and maximum fares and submitted it to the Transport Commissioner for approval. In case the proposal is accepted by commissioner the tariff will be a burden to the commuters of such vehicles.

In Bengaluru Ola, Uber, Hi company taxis are running. For kilometer it is Rs.6. The new asking is Rs.12 – that is double and maximum of Rs.25 in the proposal.

Earlier the tariff fixed was on the basis of value of vehicles – it was arrived in five categories of vehicles ranging from Rs.5 lakhs to 15 lakhs. There was only maximum tariff. Now the minimum and maximum tariff proposal is placed.

The commissioner has held three rounds of meeting with Taxi drivers, commuters and Company heads and collected information on their observation and opinion.

There are 1.47 lakh taxis in Bengaluru city. There is stiff competition among the operators. Keeping the opinion of the people is most important in fixing the new tariff is the option.
