The Walt Disney Company has set "Moana 2" to sail into theaters on November 27th, 2024. The surprise reveal started with a teaser depicting Moana on a beach with the voice of Maui being heard at the end.
Based on the official description for "Moana 2," Moana, Maui, and a new crew of wayfinders will set off on yet another, more expansive open-sea adventure. In said official description, Moana reveals that it was her wayfinding ancestors who were calling her out farther into the dangerous, long-lost waters of Oce. This film is expected to win the hearts of its viewers just as the first part did, and ensured by director Dave Derrick Jr., along with Grammy-winning musicians Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina.
Perfectly teased with the announcement's first-look image, Moana and Maui share a boat with others sailing beside a whale shark. Such speculation could arise that the whale shark could be one of Moana's ancestors, who may resemble her grandma, who appeared as a manta ray.
Released in 2016, "Moana" proved to be a crowd-pleaser for film reviewers who praised its humor, action, music, and characters. It might not exactly be revolutionary, but it renders an experience that will nearly never go unfailingly charming.
Moreover, "Moana '' continues to ride the wave, with Disney World's Epcot announcing the Moana-Inspired Journey of Water. On this adventure, park goers journey through a green wayfair, appropriate for all ages, as they wave hello, make new friends, and play with a whimsical, living water feature.
