Recently, Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan, the president of Makkal Needhi Maiam party had made a sarcastic remark aimed at Rajinikanth during his recent speech in Rotaract event, where he said that people won't respect if one gives the buildup of participating in the fight by applying oil, and slapping thighs, only to enter near the arena and say that they'll fight the next day.
This remark was said to be targeted at Rajini, who had said that he won't be contesting Lok Sabha elections, and that the state assembly elections was his target. Interacting with the press today at Chennai airport, Kamal said "People are the strength of Makkal Needhi Maiam, and we're focusing on them, rather than focusing on whom to collaborate with to get money or votes. People have understood that we're working for the welfare of them".
Following a question on his opinion regarding Rajinikanth's view that people should vote for political parties that resolve water issues, Kamal sarcastically questioned back on which water he was referring to. This remark of Kamal Haasan trolling Rajinikanth's statement has turned viral across social media, with fans of both the actors in warring mode.
