Manjinder Singh Sirsa, an MLA from New Delhi, is from the Shiromani Akali Dal. He has lodged a complaint against Shah Rukh Khan, Anand L Rai (director) and producer (Gauri Khan) because he feels a poster of ‘Zero’ hurts the Sikh sentiments.
“Shame on Shah Rukh Khan on devaluing the Sikh Kakaar and hurting Sikh sentiments by showing the Kirpaan as a show-off ordinary dagger. Kirpaan can only be worn by a Khalsa, a pure human being. I demand that SRK and the film producer Gauri Khan immediately withdraw this poster,” Sirsa said on Monday.
He has penned a letter to SRK and others associated with the movie against the “objectionable scene and poster showing Kirpaan as an ordinary dagger.”
