DMK's Working President M.K.Stalin and other MLAs who have been arrested by the Police for protesting in Marina have now been released after keeping them in preventive custody at a wedding hall in Mylapore.
Stalin and DMK members wanted to postpone the Vote of Confidence in Tamil Nadu Assembly. Some DMK members allegedly created ruckus demanding the same and also broke the chair and mike of Speaker Dhanapal who later expelled the DMK members.
The DMK MLAs stay put and were forcibly evicted by Assembly Marshals.
Stalin and a few other MLAs visited Raj Bhavan and informed the happenings in the Assembly and straight from there they reached Marina and started the "peaceful protest" in front of Gandhi Statue which lasted for a few hours. Then they were arrested by police and now let out.
