Mammootty's Thuruppu Gulan has graced theatres and is doing a brisk business. Unfortunately his Balram Vs Taradas has been lying in the cans and the release has not yet been confirmed.

However bringing cheers to the actor's fans is the news of his next movie Prajapathi.

Directed by Renjit, Prajapathi stars Mammooty as Devarmatham Narayanan, the man who brings some law and order to a remote village called Perumalpuram. The film's heroine, Adithi Rao, is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. The film also stars Nedumudi Venu, Seema and Thilagan in important roles. The film will be released in the first week of July.
