Mithun- The homeless old man

The photos that showed Amitabh Bachchan in a fully deglamourised role of a vagabond tired looking backpacker with snow white unkempt hair and beard and one leg covered in bandages immediately led to an attraction and raised the curiosity about the film 'Shoebite' directed by Soojit Sarkar.
Big B will appear in a role in which he has never been seen before.
Mr.Bachchan meanwhile has also wholeheartedly agreed to render his voice for the narration of a film in which another prolific actor of his generation is enacting a role similar in lots of aspects with his role in 'Shoebite'.
Mithun Chakraborthy is playing a character of an old homeless man in the film 'Zor lage Ke.. Haiya.
Mithun Da is also doing such a role for the first time in his career. In the film the homeless man with long flowing white hair and beard teams up with a group of Kids in a fight against a builder and a contractor to protect a tree.
The role of the builder is played by Gulshan Grover and Mahesh Manjrekar plays the contractor.
Big B gave his consent for giving his voice as the film has its main thread in the need for protecting the environment.
Mithun just like his character of the old man has build up a terrific bond with the five kids who are acting in the film.
There are four boys and 1 girl in the cast that includes Ashwini Chitla who bagged the national award for the Marathi film 'Shwaas'.
Mithun is said to be very enthusiastic and exited about his role and also has high regards for the producers Karthikeyan Talreja and Basant Talreja of Gemini Motion Pictures for showing the courage to produce a film that shows concerns for the well being of our planet.
The other important members of the cast are Riya Sen, Seema Biswas, Sachin Khedekar and Raj Zutshi.
The film is directed by Girish Girija Joshi.
