Mission: Impossible is an American action spy film series based on and a follow-on from the television series of the same name created by Bruce Geller. The franchise is mainly produced by and stars Tom Cruise, who plays Ethan Hunt, an agent of the Impossible Missions Force (IMF).

The first installment of the series Mission: Impossible, starring Hollywood star Tom Cruise, was released in 1994. Following the huge success of this film, 6 sequels have been released so far.
Meanwhile, Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8 are the upcoming M:I titles currently under work. The movies' filming and post-production got delayed due to the COVID pandemic. Mission: Impossible 7 is postponed from September 30, 2022, to July 14, 2022, and Mission: Impossible 8 is pushed from July 7, 2023, to June 28, 2024.
